The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights begins Saturday, November 21st with Opening Ceremonies in Queen Victoria Park along the Niagara Parkway from 6pm to 8pm! We will kick-off our season in grand style with a stage in the round in the middle of the park providing attendees with beautiful panoramic views!

The incredible entertainment show that will be performed at the opening ceremony of Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights 2015 will captivate everyone with fascinating performances, spectacular costumes and astounding music.

The highlight of the night, the CHROMATIQUE show will immerse the audience into the vibrant world of colour, light and sound. The innovative and unconventional performances radiate fun, energy and excitement. Combining art, music and technology, CHROMATIQUE is an entertainment phenomenon full of surprises and spectacular effects. Another dynamic performance of the night is a humourous number by the ensemble of dancing Tin Soldiers that brings the traditional festive spirit with its joy and cheer. Smiles are guaranteed - no one has ever resisted Tin Soldiers’ charm!

Picking up the winter holiday spirit, the mysterious LED Danza embodies grace and power of the light. The journey of the light that brings hope and happiness is told by the sublime beauty of this captivating dance.

Created and produced by Creativiva Inc., this breathtaking theatrical show celebrates the start of the winter holiday season in Niagara Falls and will create an unforgettable experience for anyone who sees it.

For those who miss the 6PM show we will do it all again at 7PM complete with fireworks but without the flip the switch. After all once we have all the lights on we don’t want to shut them off again so soon

All Hallow’s Eve Ghost Tours Return to Old Fort Erie

Experience the traditions of Halloween, 1812-style, brought to life through the ghosts of Canada’s bloodiest battlefield. Niagara Parks Commission staff (NPC) at Old Fort Erie are busily preparing the final details for these memorable tours, which will take place on October 23, and 24, as well as October 30 and All Hallow’s Eve October 31, beginning at 7:30 p.m., each evening.

Be prepared for a fun and frightening evening, ending with refreshments and the annual burning of the Guy Fawkes effigy at 8:30 p.m. Walking these historic and hallowed grounds, you will view the Old Fort from the perspective of the spirits who still make their presence felt within its walls. The past truly does come to life through the story-telling and ancient traditions of Halloween celebrated within the Fort.

Since full service operations of the WEGO system commenced in August 2012, over 2 million passenger trips have been provided to visitors wishing to experience all that Niagara Parks and Niagara Falls has to offer as a premier tourism destination. More importantly, given the enhanced accessibility this new system provides, WEGO was able to accommodate and assist over 1,865 individuals using wheelchairs and over 460 visitors using scooters. WEGO also has the ability to transport bicycles, and in its first year, has helped transport more than 415 cyclists to sites within the tourism community.

The Run N Fun Marathon course is a Boston Qualifier
The start of the Run N Fun Marathon begins at 10:00am
There is a CAP of 1,500 participants in this event.It's 80% full already.

The Run N Fun Marathon starts in Buffalo, NY at the world famous Albright-Knox Art Gallery which houses one of the finest collections of modern art in the world. All participants will have access inside to warm up and explore before the race.

One of few marathons in the world to start in one country and finish in another the course is considered flat and fast and has hosted two USA men’s Olympic marathon trials, 1980 and 1984, along with the World Veteran’s Games marathon in 1995.

The first 5 miles of the race travel along the majestic parkway of Buffalo before crossing the Peace Bridge into the historic old town of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. The course loops around Fort Erie and doubles back into the town, passing along River Road, continuing on the scenic Niagara Parkway for the next 18 miles voted one of the most scenic Marathon’s in Canada, #1 in Ontario!
